Keeping Mykonos Clean
Garbage Room Etiquette - a friendly reminder to place general waste in sealed or tied bags and not thrown into bins and/or bin shoots loose. We don't want to attract unwanted insects or pests which includes the Ibis birds outside the garage on rubbish collection days. Please seal your rubbish.
Regarding cardboard boxes or similar, please flatten them and then place into yellow-lidded bins, instead of throwing them whole. It’s not very considerate of neighbours and a waste of valuable bin space. Habitat clothing bins have been installed on level 1 visitor carpark, there are two bins available for unwanted clothing. The bins are checked at least twice each week so if they happen to be full, place your items on top of these bins.
You can read all about our building, the bylaws, register your pets and get useful information at http://www.mykonos.net.au/ and if you have any questions at all regarding any of the information please email your building manger or your property manager.

Electronic Waste
Electronic waste (or e-waste) is any electronic equipment that is no longer useful as originally intended such as computers, mobile phones, televisions, fax machines, etc.
E-waste should NOT be placed in your red lidded garbage bin as toxic substance can leach into the environment when processed or landfilled. |
Know your waste
We can all do our part each day to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfill by recycling correctly. By following the recycling and waste guidelines, we can all contribute effectively.
Here is what you can and cannot put into your yellow-lidded recycling bin.

- grass clippings
- food scraps
- building materials.
Rubbish disposal – it has been observed that more amounts of large household items are being dumped for disposal outside the garage door for council pick up. Please stop! We do not want to see piles of unwanted furniture or appliances sitting outside or inside the garbage room for days on end. This should be an arrangement between the owner or occupier and the building manager, and it isn’t difficult to do. Please call or email Fernando to make the necessary arrangements.
There is a designated pick-up day, (Enter Day), so you need to call me to advise you have items and we will organise pick up with City of Parramatta council for that day. This means you can place your items for pick up on (enter day) evening.
